Legal Secretary -Fixed-term (6 months)

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Property & Commercial team in the city office on a six-month fixed-term basis.

This position requires a minimum of 25 hours per week across 5 days per week (Monday to Friday). There is also flexibility for this role to be up to full-time hours, depending on the candidate's desires, availability, and goals. You will work around you and your needs!

About the Responsibilities

•    Providing a wide range of administrative tasks and support across the team
•    Opening, maintaining and closing files
•    Drafting and preparing legal documents
•    Communicating with clients about updates on case progress
•    Obtaining client due diligence material and AML compliance
•    Liaising with the authorities as needed
•    Monthly billing, preparation of invoices and statements, and team debt collection

About you and what you'll bring

•    At least 2 years’ experience in a Legal Secretary or similar role (property law experience is a plus)
•    Strong customer service skills and a professional, approachable manner
•    PC Literacy and confidence with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) – strong Excel skills would be an advantage
•    Ability to manage your time, prioritise tasks, and work independently
•    Be a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a professional yet down-to-earth approach
•    Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent written communication
•    Able to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality
•    Initiative, problem-solving skills, and a team-first attitude
•    Experience with iManage and Aderant is helpful, but not essential
