The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Executive with experience in private client and residential conveyancing to join our busy City office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to expand their expertise in property law while working on a varied and rewarding caseload. You will have the autonomy to manage transactions independently while benefiting from strong training, support, and career development opportunities.

About the responsibilities
•    Handling all aspects of conveyancing, including settlements for residential properties
•    Preparing and registering legal documents, including finance, security registrations, estate transmissions, and transfers
•    Drafting Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPOA’s) 
•    Reviewing Occupation Rights Agreements (ORA’s)
•    Liaising with clients, other professionals, and team members to ensure smooth transactions
•    Drafting and preparing legal correspondence and documentation
•    Managing files from opening to closing, ensuring all deadlines are met
•    Monthly billing, preparing invoices/statements, and supporting team debt collection
•    Providing additional administrative support when required

What You'll Bring
Technical Expertise:
•    NZ Diploma in Legal Executive Studies (registration preferred but not essential).
•    At least two years' experience in a similar role.
•    Be capable of handling property transactions autonomously, including organising buyer funding arrangements.
•    Experience in reviewing and reporting on LIMs, ORA’s, records of title, and registered interests.
•    Experience in drafting EPOA’s.
•    Expertise in handling settlements, preparing invoices, and drafting statements. 
•    Experience with Landonline, Kiwisaver forms, Companies Office, PPSR, and AML compliance.
