McVeagh Fleming is a well-respected law firm specialising in all areas of practice. The firm has been operating in Auckland for over 100 years and has offices in Auckland CBD, Albany and Manukau. 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Immigration and Administrative Assistant to join our Manukau office. You will be part of a growing team and will be expected to provide administrative support to a range of authors while ensuring work is performed with a high degree of accuracy and in a timely manner.

The responsibilities for this role include: 
• Liaising with Immigration New Zealand and following up on client application status or responding to INZ requests.    
• Handling phone queries from clients. 
• Drafting letters and emails to INZ and/or clients. 
• Assisting with the preparation of immigration files and online visa applications.
• Following up with clients for required documentation (and fees) for their visa applications. 
• Monitoring application deadlines.
• Client and File Management – including maintaining existing client records and documentation.
• Opening and closing matters and preparing routine correspondence.
• Billing and other administrative duties such as printing & scanning as needed.
• Support the team during events such as webinars, seminars and workshops.
• Assisting with marketing initiatives (promotion of events on social media platforms, posting and updating content, working with our Marketing Team on news updates and quick releases)

About our Ideal Candidate: 
• Experience in legal administration/secretarial or a similar role would be an advantage, preferably with some exposure to immigration. 
• Have a flair for/an interest in marketing and event execution.
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
• Superior client care skills.
• A razor-sharp eye for detail and accuracy. 
• Be a great team player with a high level of motivation and happy to assist others.
• The ability to multi-task, prioritise, think laterally and to be able to work effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of a second language will be beneficial.
• A sound knowledge of MS Office and excellent computer skills.
