About the Opportunity
Our Litigation Team in the City Office is seeking a motivated professional ready to advance their career in general civil litigation. This position offers the opportunity to take the lead on your own filesand to plan and conduct hearings and trials. You will be the primary advisor and point of contact for clients, and will work and collaborate closely with them and Partners in the firm to develop strategies and deliver successful outcomes. This role offers comprehensive, hands-on experience across a broad range of civil litigation matters, including (but not limited to) contractual disputes, insolvency, property, construction, defamation, and negligence claims.
This role offers:
• Day to day management of files from first instruction
• Direct engagement with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory bodies to provide legal advice, negotiate settlements, and facilitate agreements
• A collaborative team environment with high-quality supervision and mentoring from senior lawyers
• A diverse mix of advisory and litigation work, including regular opportunities to conduct court and tribunal proceedings, participation in mediations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
• Mentoring and leadership opportunities through supporting and guiding junior team members

About you
• A minimum of 7 years’ PQE in general litigation, including experience in contested hearings and trials, ideally as lead or sole counsel
• Exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to client care
• Proven ability to prioritise effectively, supported by excellent organisational skills, and client matter management
• A clear commitment to teamwork and evidence of leadership potential
• Experience in both District Court and High Court proceedings
• A confident, proactive, and motivated approach to legal practice
• A willingness to provide guidance and mentorship to junior lawyers
